Fee Structure

There will be two Tiers in which a team can sign up as an Advanced Baseball Team (ABT) participating in the Camarillo Pony Baseball Association (CPBA) Advance Baseball League (ABL).

Tier 1 ‐ 

• $3000.00 up to 12 players per team ($250 per additional player above and beyond 12 players)
• Team cost is $3000 whether 10 players or 12 players
• 12 player rosters are recommended and ARE required by PONY baseball for Sanctioned Allstar Tournament play with maximum of 15 players
• Team roster(see attached form) with copy of birth certificates must be submitted by January 10th 2022.

The following IS included:

• Inclusion in CPBA ABL league play as a registered ABT
• Minimum 12 games regular season schedule with guarantee of 75% of games played to ensure PONY approved for Sanctioned Tournament Play
• Two game minimum (double elimination) end of Season CPBA Playoff Tournament
• 2 Umpires (upper divisions) and NEW baseballs for all games 
• Fields for games
• PONY Sanctioned All-star Tournament Eligible (fees not included)

The following IS NOT included:

• Uniforms
• Practice fields
• PONY Sanctioned Allstar Registration fee (approximately $250)
• Sanctioned Tournament fees

Fee Structure

Tier 2 ‐ 

• $3600.00 up to 12 players per team ($300 per additional player above and beyond 12 players)
• Team cost is $3600 whether 10 players or 12 players
• 12 player rosters are required by PONY baseball for Sanctioned Allstar Tournament play with maximum of 15 players
• Team roster with copy of birth certificates must be submitted by January 10th 2022.

The following IS included:

• Inclusion in CPBA as a registered ABT
• Minimum 12 game schedule with guarantee of 75% of games played to ensure PONY approved for Sanctioned Tournament Play
• Two game minimum (double elimination) end of Season CPBA Playoff Tournament
• One practice on a CPBA field per week.
• 2 Umpires (upper divisions) & NEW baseballs for games 
• Fields for games
• PONY Sanctioned Allstar Tournament Eligible(fees not included)
• PONY Sanctioned All‐star Registration fee (approximately $50)

 The following would IS NOT included:
• Uniforms
• Sanctioned Tournament fees

Requirements to be considered an ABT in CPBA’s ABL:

• Advanced Baseball Teams will register as a team and are recommended to have played in at least one tournament prior to registration.
• Roster of players, coaches and manager must be submitted, along with payment prior to CPBA’s registration deadline of January 10, 2021. Any late registrations, if division is open and registration is accepted, will be subject to a team late fee of $100.
• All teams, managers and coaches need to go through the same vetting process as the CPBA Rec League and are subject to the Board’s approval. 
• All managers and coaches must submit to and pass a background check (paid by CPBA) 
• CPBA, in its sole discretion, will determine if the ABT is to be added to CPBA’s ABL.
• Managers and coaches of ABTs MUST adhere to and participate in all required CPBA related requirements, including mandatory manager's meeting prior to the start of the season. For a copy of the guidelines, procedures and regulations please visit the CPBA website at www.camponybaseball.org.
• Code of conduct – All ABL managers are responsible for their behavior, the behavior of their players and the behavior of their parents. Violations will face discipline and sanctions, which may include forfeiture of the ability to play in PONY Sanctioned All Star tournaments.


Registration *** It is VERY IMPORTANT that you DO NOT have your team players register individually on the CPBA website. Registered CPBA players are not eligible to be included on an ABT Roster.

Tier 1 and Tier 2 rosters must be submitted (in Excel format – SEE ATTACHED) to the CPBA President ALEX MATHIS ([email protected]). In addition, instructions to register teams through the CPBA website and registration process will be provided upon notice of intent to play. Options to pay VENMO, Credit card or check(NO CASH) are available and information will be provided as requested.

Checks for Tier 1 ($3000 per team) or Tier 2 ($4000 per team) should be made out to: Camarillo Pony Baseball Association (referencing your Team name and division in the memo line of check).

Rosters

• Only due to an extreme circumstances during the season, can ABTs add a player to their roster (per PONY rules), but they can NOT add players from the CPBA Rec league or other PONY leagues. Roster information and copy of birth certificate must be turned in before player can play. If non-registered player is found to be playing on team prior to approval, team will FORFEIT that game and possibly future games.
• The additional player added to a roster and will require an additional fee of $100 and must be completed at least 72 hours before their first ABL Game. REMEMBER - Only maximum of 15 players allowed per team.
• PONY sets a cutoff date for Sanctioned All Star player eligibility that must be met. This falls during the ABL season. In addition, eligible players must play in at least 50% of their ABT’s games.
• If planning on playing PONY Sanctioned Allstar Tournaments, PONY Baseball requires a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 15‐players per PONY Sanctioned Allstar Tournament rules.
• Players are not allowed to jump to another ABL team once registered (without agreement between both team managers) and coordination with CPBA President. A player that is leaving an ABL team will stay on the original team’s roster for PONY Sanctioned All Stars (unless agreement between both managers).

Playing Rules

• During the regular season ABTs will play by the CPBA baseball rules, as it relates to pitch counts, time limits, etc. There are some ABL exceptions such as ABL teams are allowed to bat nine if they choose to but CPBA recommends and encourages ABL teams to have all players bat. Further, ABL Teams will use the USSSA age chart to determine there teams division. 
• A copy of the CPBA rules guide can be found on the CPBA website. There are additional separate ABL rules at end of CPBA rules guide. CPBA reserves the right to update rules as needed.

Schedules

• Game schedules will include one weekday game and one game on Saturday. Special requests must be submitted to CPBA President by February 1, 2022. CPBA cannot guarantee all requests will be met.
• Game schedules will be provided well in advance of the season to ensure meeting the requirements of both CPBA and special requests. Once the game schedules are out, if your team forfeits a game, the team will be subject to a $100 disciplinary fee.
