Spring Ball is Camarillo PONY Baseball's regular season that runs from mid-February through May.

REGISTRATION is OPEN. Please register as soon as you can so we can get a good idea of all those ready to play in the Spring 2021 season.
PLEASE be patient and flexible during these unprecedented times.
Hopefully we can form teams by end of February. Once teams are formed, your Team Manager will contact you and give you your practice schedule.
Practices scheduled to start first week in March but TBD. Regular season go through the end of May but possibly into June depending on when we start.
Currently, there are no scrimmages or games allowed until we get into the RED Tier. Games are played at the Bob Kildee Fields on Temple Ave and/or at the Freedom Park Fields near the Camarillo Airport.

** Player Assessments **
Quarterhorse and Shetland divisions do NOT need to attend a player assessment.
Pinto, Mustang, Bronco, Pony and Colt divisions must sign up for an assessment time slot: TBD

** Player equipment and uniform **
Your player should bring a glove, bat, and helmet to practice and games. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, players will not be allowed to share equipment. CPBA will supply team hats and team jerseys . Players must bring their own white baseball pants and optional belt to games.** Concussion and Head Injury Procedures **

Effective January 1, 2018, with the exception of -3 (BBCOR certified), all other 2 1/4" and 2 5/8" barrel bats with a minus factor of (-5, -7, -9, etc.), must be USABat certified with the USABat licensing stamp on the bat in order to be used for league and tournament play.
Tee ball bats are not required to undergo lab testing to receive approval under the USABat program. However, to be approved for play, tee ball bats must carry the USA Baseball mark accompanied by the following text: "Only For Use With Approved Tee Ball Bats." If you already have a tee ball bat you would like to continue using, all you have to do is purchase a USA Bat sticker directly from USA Baseball and place it on your bat.

The league incurs costs in advance of each season to pay for items such as uniforms, equipment, etc. Due to these upfront costs, CPBA charges a $25 administration fee for refunds prior to a player being placed on a team. Refunds requested after a player is drafted and/or placed on a team will be honored at a 50% rate. Draft/player placement is scheduled for: March 1,2021. No refund is available after the first game has been played.
The big question is “what if we don’t end up playing any games”. Well that’s a good question. The board has decided that if we do not end up playing any games, we will give everyone the opportunity for a 50% refund. We still have many costs associated with practices to include insurance, field maintenance, practice balls, equipment, etc. What we will offer for the 50% the league would need to keep, is practices for about 3 months. We plan to start practices by March 6 and go all the way through May 28. We believe that is a small price to pay to get the kids out of the house and have 3 months of skill development, conditioning, team comradery and lot's of fun. Again, that is only if we are not able to play games.
